E. coli traced to greens sold at Fred Meyer, QFC

Dec. 31—An E. coli outbreak linked to Simple Truth Organic Power Greens from Fred Meyer and QFC stores is spreading through Washington, according to the Washington Department of Health.

No cases have been traced to Clark County yet, but health officials urge anyone with Simple Truth Organic Power Greens with best-by dates through Dec. 20, 2021, to discard them.

The outbreak is also impacting Oregon, California, Ohio, Mississippi and Alaska.

If you consumed the tainted product and experience fever, abdominal pain, pale skin tone, fatigue, unexplained bruises, bleeding from the nose and mouth and decreased urination, contact your medical provider immediately.
