Michigan reports 1,295 new cases, 21 deaths over a 3-day period

The Michigan Health Department confirmed 1,295 new cases of COVID-19 and 21 deaths over three days, marking a continued increase in cases.

The new cases average to 431.7 per day.

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday's numbers increased the total number of cases to 899,921, in addition 19,883 deaths since the pandemic started.

A total of 40,195 diagnostic tests were reported from Tuesday to Friday. There were 1,593 positive diagnostic test , for a case positivity rate of 4.71%.

Michigan has also reported 106,439 probable cases and 1,263 deaths since the start of the pandemic. The probable cases in addition to the confirmed cases bring a total of 1,006,360 cases and 21,146 deaths.
