Ontario County Public Health: 19 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday

HOPEWELL — Ontario County Public Health is reporting 19 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday, but no new deaths.

Since the start of the pandemic, 5,820 Ontario County residents have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and 100 people have died.

Many of the new cases are related household contacts, two school-age students and community cases. They range from 5 years old to the 80-89 age category.

There are 166 COVID-19 positive individuals who are being isolated. This is in addition to 324 mandatory quarantines (contacts of positive cases), totaling 490 in the isolation and quarantine category.

There are 24 people in the hospital.

With 50 recoveries reported in the last 24 hours, 5,562 recoveries have been reported since the start of the pandemic.

There were 611 negative tests.
