The mission of the Cape and Islands Veterans Outreach Center (CIVOC) is to provide Cape Cod Veterans and their families with a comprehensive menu of the essential, life altering and life sustaining services which will empower them to achieve a lasting reintegration into the families and communities for which they have sacrificed. CIVOC provides a comprehensive list of integrated services to include housing support, a food pantry, financial support, counseling and holistic and alternative therapies. The organization currently manages sixteen transitional housing units and provides a robust case management program. CIVOC delivers other support that includes the Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (VASH) Vouchers, and Supportive Services for Veterans Families (SSVF) Program that provide for rent payments, security deposits and moving costs. CIVOC conducts outreach to incarcerated veterans to facilitate their transition back to the community post-release, and they conduct numerous and varied outreach presentations to constituencies in the community to include law enforcement, mental health professionals, and other community organizations.
