Pillsbury unbleached flour recalled due to salmonella risk

Providence Journal - 3/13/2019

March 13-- Mar. 13--The parent company of Pillsbury is recalling roughly 12,245 cases of five-pound bags of Unbleached All-Purpose Flour, due to possible salmonella contamination.

The Rhode Island Department of Health warned residents of the recall by Hometown Food Company on Wednesday afternoon.

The recall applies to bags with "best if used by" dates of April 19 and April 20, 2020. Recalled products should be thrown out or returned to the store where they were purchased, the Department of Health says.

There have been no reports of illnesses associated with this recall, the health department says.
